Mark Wayne, steel player from Tomahawk, Wisconsin, took up playing guitar at 11 and steel guitar at 12, and was a student during the 80’s and 90’s of Ben Reehl and Eddie Rivers.  He spent the 90's working with Vic Eliason of WVCY (98.9 FM) Radio from Milwaukee in 1991 with friend, Roy Allen (childhood friend of Earl Scruggs), followed by joining the Country-Gospel group, Harbor Lighthouse for 7 years from 1999 to 2006.  Harbor Lighthouse still has CD's available.  For some of the best in Country-Gospel music, contact Lauri. 

Mark has performed in many towns throughout northern Wisconsin like Wausau, Rhinelander, Eagle River and Minocqua - and with many of the Northwoods greats like Skip Wagner and Jim Sheppele and others.  He now travels the midwest as a solo artist performing at various venues, including fundraisers, benefit gatherings, catering to weddings, anniversary and birthday parties, Gospel events, corporate events, craft and boat shows and more.  He also offers services as a steel guitar player for theater shows, and does recording sessions via email and live.  For bookings call 715-612-0648, or contact Mark.

Mark established AR Recording Studios in 1996 and now is a full-time producer, owner and president of Authentic Recording Studios.

Mark is thankful to be a steel guitar session player located in the Northwoods, and has played on many artists’ albums throughout Wisconsin, as well as well as nationally and internationally broadcasted albums. He also performs at steel guitar shows across the Midwest, including The Internaitonal Steel Guitar Convention in St. Louis, Missouri. Mark is thankful for the Lord’s direction, and to have known many wisdom-filled people, especially his dad, Lenny.
